Privacy policy

What we collect when you buy something, why we need it, who else sees it, and how to get it removed.

Last updated 5 September 2026

This site does not track you. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts and no tracking cookies — which is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. The only thing stored in your browser is your own basket.

We never see your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe's payment page and never pass through this website or our servers.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is WEAR WILD LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16122779, whose registered office is at 31 Bow Lake Gardens, Bishopstoke, Eastleigh, England, SO50 6JH.

For anything to do with your personal data, email support@ecproduct.uk.

2. What we collect, and why

Nothing at all until you place an order. You can browse the whole catalogue, search it and fill a basket without giving us anything and without us recording who you are.

When you buy something, we receive:

WhatWhy we need it
Your nameTo address the parcel and the order record
Delivery addressTo send you the goods
Email addressTo send your confirmation and answer queries
Phone numberGiven to the carrier for delivery updates
What you ordered and the amount paidTo fulfil the order and keep tax records

We are also told by Stripe that the payment succeeded, and the last four digits and card type. We are never given the full card number, the expiry date or the security code, and there is nowhere on this site that could receive them.

Server logs

Our web server records each request it receives, including the IP address it came from, the page requested and the time. This is ordinary technical logging: it is what lets us see that the site is working and spot attacks. These logs are held in a rotating buffer of limited size and are overwritten automatically as new requests arrive. We do not archive them, and we do not use them to build a profile of anybody.

3. Our lawful basis

We do not send marketing email, so we do not rely on consent for anything, and there is no list to unsubscribe from.

4. Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no cookies. It stores one thing in your browser, using local storage:

NameWhat it holds
ecw_cart_v1The product codes and quantities in your basket

It exists so your basket survives a refresh. It stays on your own device, is never sent to us as a matter of course, and contains nothing that identifies you. Clearing your browser data for this site removes it and empties your basket.

Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page, which are necessary for the payment to work and for fraud prevention. That page is not part of this site and is covered by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Who else sees your data

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. It goes to:

We will also disclose data if the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Our own server is in Germany, with Hetzner Online GmbH, and your order records stay on it. The UK recognises the European Economic Area as providing an equivalent standard of protection, so no further safeguards are needed for that. Stripe is an international company and may process payment data outside the UK; where it does, it relies on the safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, including the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

WhatKept for
Order and payment records6 years after the end of the tax year, as UK law requires
Emails you send usUp to 2 years, then deleted
Server logsOverwritten automatically; not archived
Your basketIn your browser only, until you clear it

We cannot delete an order record before the six years are up, because keeping it is a legal obligation rather than our choice. We can and will delete anything held beyond that.

8. How it is protected

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Email support@ecproduct.uk and we will answer within one month. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm your identity first — not to obstruct you, but to be sure we are not handing your details to someone else.

10. How to complain

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator:

Information Commissioner's Officeico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, helpline 0303 123 1113.
